SuperDARN Workshop 2019 has been held on 2-7 June 2019.
The Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN) is an international consortium of ground-based high frequency (HF) radar observations for space and upper atmospheric sciences. The primary objective of SuperDARN is to study, on the large-scale dynamical process of the magnetosphere-ionosphere system, such as the evolution of the global convection electric field under changing the solar wind conditions and its development. However, data from SuperDARN HF radars have been used in the scientific community for studying a wide variety of mesospheric, ionospheric, and magnetospheric phenomena. In addition, the data will be used for monitoring and forecasting of space weather condition for safety and security of telecommunications, navigations, and spacecraft operation.
The Workshop has been held at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Highland Resort Hotel & Spa in Fujiyoshida, Japan from 2 to 7 June 2019.
